Description

What is NutriStat test?

The Nutri-STAT panel is designed to provide a comprehensive assessment of important biomarkers involved in the pathophysiology of many complex, chronic and idiopathic conditions. The immune system is greatly impacted by an individual’s dietary patterns, and poor nutritional status can influence the risk of developing immune-mediated diseases. Nutrient deficiency, toxin build up and enzymatic dysfunction are common factors that lead to varying nutrient requirements.

This report provides extensive insight into metabolic health, nutritional status, essential fatty acid levels, cardiovascular health, and endocrine function. An in-depth analysis of minerals and metals, amino acids, and organic acids are also incorporated to assess mitochondrial energy production, functional nutritional needs, detoxification capacity, neurotransmitter metabolism, and antioxidant requirements with more than 240 biomarkers tested.

Identifying and correcting nutritional imbalance is often an important stage of disease prevention, immune support, therapeutic intervention, and optimizing patient outcomes. The Nutri-STAT profile provides an assessment of biochemical pathways and nutritional status, which can guide individualized vitamin and mineral needs.

The Nutri-STAT panel is performed via automated biochemistry, with the exception of organic acids and amino acids, essential fatty acids, and minerals and metals, which use LCMS/MS/MS, GCMS and ICP-MS, respectively.

A wide range of existing panels have been amalgamated to form the Nutri-STAT test, providing an ease for doctors and allied health practitioners to order all relevant tests within one single profile. This has been designed to save time for healthcare professionals, as well as developing a more cost-effective solution for patients who require multiple laboratory assessments.

The Nutri-STAT profile may be suitable for individuals suffering from complex and chronic conditions.

Due to the diverse range of biomarkers measured in this profile it is also suitable for individuals wishing to identify and monitor their functional nutritional needs.

The Nutri-STAT panel can be collected during any stage of a chronic or idiopathic illness to identify where metabolic blocks may be occurring.
